Laugh Your Whohaha Off with YouTube Women in Comedy

In the MomCave with Jen and Dina YouTube #WomeninComedy

MomCave was conceived (conceived, get it??) as a YouTube channel of snarky comedies for moms. But we’ve grown into a community, a virtual MomCave, of mamas who use humor to get through the day. We are so excited to have been chosen for the YouTube Women in Comedy Program, in association with Women in and Film and one of our favorite female comedy sites, Elizabeth Banks’ Whohaha.

We’ve been doing “MomCave LIVE” for a while, first on YouTube, and more recently, also on Facebook. We love interacting with you, our MomCavers, directly. And we also love having awesome guests and giveaways. MomCave LIVE has been nominated TWICE for an IAWTV (International Academy of Web TV) Award for Best Live Series. So for our YouTube Women in Comedy – Whohaha project, we decided to create an amped-up version. A”pilot” episode of a late night-type show… for MOMS! Think Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, if Jimmy Fallon had a uterus. We call it “In the MomCave with Jen & Dina.”

With the help of some of our mama friends, we shot an episode full of comedy sketches, interviews with real life funny moms, and general silliness. Check it out here:

Jennifer Weedon Palazzo is the creator/writer/and producer of Mom Cave TV, an online network of comedy shows for moms including Slummy Mummy, Double Leche, Blabbermom, and MomCave LIVE. She's a working actress in NYC who has appeared in films, commercials, and some very off-off Broadway plays. When she’s not writing about the funny side of being a mom (for blogs like Scary Mommy and Mamalode) Jennifer can be found eating Reese’s Cups while furiously bidding on vintage clothing on eBay. She lives with her husband, Evan, bandleader of The Hot Sardines and two spirited children.
