Get butcher paper bags and let the kids paint. Lazy and cute wrapping! -Brenay, Normal in the House

I take the kids to look at toys at local stores than scan the ones they say the want onto an Amazon list using the Amazon bar code scan app. I can compare prices right there and then I can order them off Amazon or do more comparison shopping online for same toys. –Tonia, Why Not Mom

I drive presents I ordered online to the mall so I can get them gift wrapped. –Alison, Sparkly Shoes and Sweat Drops

I buy the same children’s book for all the little kids I know. This year, it’s “She Persisted.” I also order them gift wrapped by the local bookstore. –Rina, Finding Dutchland

My mom always had my sister and me decorate a “Hanukkah bag” from a brown grocery store bag. She didn’t have to wrap 8 presents and BOOM – art project. –Jen Simon, Writer

I use the comics from the newspaper! –Alisa Schlinder, Writer

I take pictures of my kids’ wish lists. When they see things in stores that they want, they hold it up and I snap a pic with my phone and save it for easy assembling of Christmas lists later on. You can also upload them to a shared DropBox to share the “list” with family. -Ashley, ashleyaustrew.com.

The holiday comes around at the same time every year, so put annual reminders in your phone to kick your butt into gear on time for things like taking a photo for your holiday card, buying stamps, starting an wish list for everyone to shop from for your family, etc. It’s like having past you tapping yourself on the shoulder to say, “You know how you are. Don’t procrastinate.” -Kim Bongiorno, Let Me Start By Saying
