Pour water on the floor. Give kids towels. Voila! Clean floor. –Jen Simon, Writer

Make your kids do it all.  Use chores as consequences. This was my BEST mom shortcut idea yet. Anytime one of my kids gets in trouble, I simply add another chore to their chore list. Because the truth is, the less stuff you have, the faster you’ll be done putting it all away. -Olga, The European Mama

Insisting you meet company outside at the park, especially on a gorgeous summer day, so you don’t have to worry about cleaning or laundry piles. -Eileen, Autism with a Side of Fries
